Do you have a staff handbook?

If you do not have a staff handbook telling people how to act, you might also some of that responsibility if they do something wrong or illegal because you did not tell them they couldn't do it.

Do you have a staff handbook?

If you do not have a staff handbook telling people how they should govern themselves while they’re working for you, if they do something wrong, even if it’s illegal, even if they’re going to get in trouble by the police, you might also share some of that responsibility because you did not tell them they couldn’t do it.

It might be they’ve been looking at something they shouldn’t be looking at on their computer, they’ve been arrested by the police, however, maybe they could claim against you because you didn’t tell them how to work that computer, so that you did not tell them what they could and could not do on that laptop. So protect yourself, even if you think it’s common sense and they shouldn’t be doing that, protect yourself and make sure that you are telling them exactly how they can use these things in your policy.
